About Marella Discovery
Marella Discovery was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire and delivered to Royal Caribbean International on 15 March 1996 as Splendour of the Seas, the second Vision-class ship. TUI Group bought her in 2016, renamed her TUI Discovery and, after a refit in Cádiz, named her in Palma in June 2016 for Thomson Cruises. She took her current name in October 2017 when Thomson became Marella Cruises, and carries 1,830 guests at double occupancy. She had a routine dry dock at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam in November 2025.
