About Marella Explorer 2

Marella Explorer 2 was built by Meyer Werft at Papenburg and delivered to Celebrity Cruises on 30 November 1995 as Century. She was renamed Celebrity Century in 2008 and was sold in 2014 to a Ctrip affiliate, then refitted in Singapore and renamed SkySea Golden Era in 2015 to launch SkySea Cruise Line's China service from Shanghai. After SkySea closed in 2018 she was sold to TUI, converted at Navantia in Cádiz and debuted for Marella Cruises from Palma in April 2019. She carries 1,814 guests at double occupancy and had a routine dry dock in Cádiz in January and February 2026.
