About Marella Discovery 2
Marella Discovery 2 was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire and delivered to Royal Caribbean International in April 1995 as Legend of the Seas, the first Vision-class ship. TUI's UK business bought her in 2017 and renamed her TUI Discovery 2, and she began sailing for Thomson Cruises in May 2017 after a refit in Cádiz. She took her current name in October 2017 when Thomson became Marella Cruises. She has 915 cabins for 1,832 guests at double occupancy and was refurbished at Navantia in Cádiz in autumn 2024.
