About Azamara Journey
Azamara Journey was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire and delivered to Renaissance Cruises in June 2000 as R Six. After Renaissance collapsed in 2001 she was laid up, then sailed for Pullmantur, first marketed as Blue Star in 2003 and renamed Blue Dream in 2005. In May 2007 she became Azamara Journey, the first ship of Royal Caribbean's new Azamara brand, which was sold to Sycamore Partners in 2021. She carries 710 guests at double occupancy and had a dry dock at Elefsina Shipyards in Greece in September 2024.
