Where is the Bridgetown cruise port?

Ships dock alongside at the Deep Water Harbour on the north-west edge of Bridgetown. Passengers on regular calls walk, or take the free port shuttle, to the Bridgetown Cruise Terminal, with shops, visitor information and the taxi dispatch centre. Homeport passengers use the Cruise Transfer Terminal at Shed 3.

From the main gate, the seaside Trevor's Way path leads into central Bridgetown: about 1.7 km and 25 minutes on foot, or about 5 minutes by taxi.

Driving to the port

Taxis in Barbados use prescribed fixed fares, not meters; it is illegal to charge above them. There is no Uber; the pickUP Barbados app books licensed taxis with card payment. Expect heavy traffic around Bridgetown during weekday morning and late-afternoon rush hours. Anyone collecting passengers inside the Port must request entry online in advance and show a QR code.

Parking at the Bridgetown cruise port

Barbados Port Inc. says no extended waiting or parking is allowed inside the port because of space limits. Drivers picking up or dropping off must apply online for port entry in advance and show the emailed QR code; they're directed to the Cruise Terminal car park, which is the designated pick-up and drop-off area. Free shuttle buses carry homeport passengers and luggage from Shed 3 to that area.

Wheelchair-accessible units are available between ship and terminal.
