About Azamara Pursuit
Azamara Pursuit was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire and delivered to Renaissance Cruises in February 2001 as R Eight, the last of the eight R-class ships. After Renaissance collapsed she was laid up in Marseille, then sailed as Swan Hellenic's Minerva II from 2003, Princess Cruises' Royal Princess from 2007 and P&O Cruises' Adonia from 2011, including a spell with Carnival's fathom brand in 2016. Azamara took her over in March 2018 and, after a refit at Harland & Wolff in Belfast, she began sailing as Azamara Pursuit on 1 August 2018. She carries 702 guests at double occupancy and had a dry dock in Marseille in August 2024.
