About Queen Mary 2
Queen Mary 2 is Cunard's ocean liner, built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique at Saint-Nazaire and delivered on 22 December 2003. Queen Elizabeth II named her in Southampton on 8 January 2004, and she sailed her maiden voyage from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale on 12 January 2004. In August 2004 she served as a hotel ship at Piraeus during the Athens Olympic Games. In May and June 2016 the 345-metre liner had a 25-day 'Remastered' refit at Blohm+Voss in Hamburg that added new cabins and more kennels.
