Where is the Kobe-Osaka cruise port?

Kobe has two cruise terminals, both with customs and immigration and accessible boarding bridges. Large ships berth at Kobe Port Terminal on Shinko Pier No. 4, beside Port Terminal station on the Port Liner, 2 km (about a 29-minute walk) or a 4-10 minute drive from JR Sannomiya, the main station. Smaller ships usually use the Naka Pier Cruise Terminal at the tip of Naka Pier beside Meriken Park, 1.1 km (16 minutes' walk) from JR Motomachi station. The two terminals are about 1.4 km apart in a straight line, and berths vary by ship and sailing.

Kansai International Airport (KIX) → Kobe Port Terminal

69 km · 60–100 min by car

Kansai International Airport is across Osaka Bay, 69 km by road (typically 1 hr to 1 hr 40 min by car via the Hanshin Expressway Wangan route). The fastest public option is the high-speed ferry to Kobe Airport and then the Port Liner; cars, taxis and pedestrians may not go to the KIX ferry pier, so passengers take the airport's free shuttle bus to it.

Kobe is a gateway for cruises through the Seto Inland Sea and a turnaround port.
