Where is the La Spezia cruise port?

Ships berth on the west side of Molo Garibaldi in the commercial port; some calls anchor and tender. Walking through the working port is not allowed, so a compulsory shuttle bus runs between the ship and Terminal 2 at Largo Michele Fiorillo, on the eastern edge of the city centre.

From the terminal the seafront and the gulf ferry pier are a short walk west, and La Spezia Centrale station, for Cinque Terre trains, is about 1.9 km (25 minutes) on foot or 10 minutes by taxi. Allow extra time for shuttle and security queues when returning.

About La Spezia

La Spezia is a naval and commercial port city at the head of the Gulf of La Spezia on Liguria's eastern Riviera.

Most cruise visitors use it as the gateway to the Cinque Terre: frequent regional trains from La Spezia Centrale reach Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. Ferries cross the gulf to Portovenere, and the compact city has a seafront promenade and the hilltop Castello San Giorgio.

Pisa is a little over an hour away by road, a common full-day excursion.
