About Amadea

Amadea was completed on 28 October 1991 as Asuka, at the time Japan's largest passenger ship, and entered service that December for NYK's Japanese cruise arm, sailing from Tokyo. After her namesake successor Asuka II took over in 2006, she was refitted, renamed Amadea in March 2006 and chartered to Phoenix Reisen of Germany. The 29,008 GT, 192.8-metre ship was last refurbished in April 2024.
