About Skjolden

Skjolden is a small village at the very end of the Sognefjord, Norway's longest and deepest fjord, at the head of the turquoise Lustrafjord. Three national parks meet here — Jotunheimen, Jostedalsbreen and Breheimen — and the UNESCO-listed Urnes Stave Church, from about 1130, stands across the fjord. Mountain roads, glaciers and waterfalls such as Feigefossen are the main draws.
