About Victoria

Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, sits on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, facing the Olympic Mountains across the Salish Sea.

The compact Inner Harbour is framed by the domed BC Parliament Buildings, the Fairmont Empress and the Royal BC Museum, beside a walkable downtown and one of North America's oldest Chinatowns. Further out, the Butchart Gardens fill a former quarry and Craigdarroch Castle recalls Victorian-era coal wealth.

Victoria is a regular stop on Alaska cruises, usually the last call before ships return to Seattle or Vancouver.
