Little Current Swing Bridge
This steel swing bridge, first built for the railway and later opened to cars, carries Highway 6 across the channel and is the only road link between Manitoulin Island and the mainland. It swings open at set times to let boats through, a sight easily watched from the waterfront a short walk from the docks. It is a designated Ontario heritage site, and the province plans to replace it.
Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah
Set behind a rail fence on an eight-acre site in Sheguiandah, this community museum has a main exhibition hall and six outbuildings filled with settlers' tools and household goods from the 19th century onward. It also displays stone tools from the nearby Sheguiandah archaeological site, a National Historic Site where people quarried quartzite about 10,000 years ago.
Cup and Saucer Trail
This hike in the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy's 345-acre Cup and Saucer preserve climbs to the top of Niagara Escarpment cliffs about 70 metres high, with wide views over forest, lakes and the North Channel. The trail network covers about 8 km, including a short, steep adventure loop. The trailhead is on Highway 540 about 20 km west of Little Current.
Bridal Veil Falls
In the village of Kagawong, the Kagawong River pours over a limestone ledge into a clear pool, and a trail leads down to the base of the falls and on along the river towards the harbour.
