Where is the Falmouth cruise port?

Ships dock alongside the two-berth Historic Falmouth Cruise Port, a pier and themed shopping village built on reclaimed land at the edge of Falmouth town. There is no tender service or anchorage.

Passengers walk off through the port village, and the town's historic core around Water Square and the Trelawny Parish Court House is about 1.2 km (roughly 15 minutes) on foot from the pier. Montego Bay is about 34 km (40 minutes) west by road and Ocho Rios about an hour east, so most excursions leave by coach or taxi from the port's transport area.

Falmouth is a port of call where passengers arrive by ship, so no cruise passenger parking applies. The pier is a secure, access-controlled facility run by the Port Authority of Jamaica.

About Falmouth

Falmouth, capital of Trelawny Parish on Jamaica's north coast, grew rich in the late 18th and early 19th centuries as a sugar-exporting port, and its grid of Georgian streets is among the best preserved in the Caribbean. The Port Authority of Jamaica and Royal Caribbean opened Historic Falmouth Cruise Port here in March 2011, a two-berth pier built for Oasis-class ships, with a themed shopping village at the gate. Beyond the pier, Water Square and the columned Trelawny Parish Court House are a short walk away.

Bamboo rafting on the Martha Brae River is a few minutes inland, and Montego Bay and Ocho Rios bring beaches and Dunn's River Falls within day-trip range. Hurricane Melissa hit the town hard in October 2025, and recovery work continues.

Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica in late October 2025. The port reopened to cruise calls on 2 December 2025, but recovery is ongoing, and some shops, attractions and roads in and around Falmouth may still be affected.
